Get a Library Card

Getting a Library Card

Anyone can use the library and its resources. During library opening hours, you may come in and read, listen to music, access your e-mail, and search the library's online magazines and newspapers.

If you become a library member, however, your library card allows you to borrow books, magazines, videos, DVDs, CDs, and audio books from other libraries within the Shortgrass Library System. You may request items from another library in the Shortgrass Library System, as well as from Public and University Libraries throughout Alberta. A resident library card also gives you access to the library's many online resources from home.
